LEADERSHIP IN TRAINING INFORMATION
L.I.T. Program
DiscStarz’s Leadership in Training (L.I.T.) program is America’s #1 ultimate-based youth leadership program. Our goal is to build a diverse community of young people who are empowered, inspired, and motivated to be leaders and coaches in ultimate and the world. This program has run successfully in Canada for the past 5 years with over 40 L.I.T. alumni becoming full-time paid coaches or captains of their ultimate teams, among other amazing accomplishments. We at DiscStarz are so excited to now be able to invite youth from all over the country to join in this initiative!
National L.I.T. Details
- For students in Grades 10 – 12
- This program runs from April 2021 – August 2021 for a total of 8-9 sessions (approx. 2 per month). Each session runs for 2-3 hours and will be conducted online through Zoom
- Leaders will learn the basics of coaching including how to explain a drill effectively, how to give and receive feedback, how to set goals, and more
- Leaders will be expected to practice their skills and volunteer in their respective communities
- Most importantly, leaders will get the opportunity to have fun and meet friends from across the entire country, potentially ending in a live conference
- The cost for this program is $200
